Postnatal Doula
Congratulations
You are now a mother, a role you will embrace forever. In many cultures worldwide, the act of giving birth is viewed as a profound rite of passage—a transformation from maiden to motherhood.

Traditionally, new mothers would take up to forty days to rest, recuperate, and be nurtured at home with their newborns. This period involves the consumption of specialised, nourishing foods, soothing massages, and belly binding to support the postpartum body. It’s a time of bonding with the baby and adjusting to the new role of motherhood.

Postnatal doulas play a pivotal role during this time, providing invaluable practical and emotional support to both the new mother and her family. Their mission is to facilitate a swift recovery by offering caring assistance, ensuring that the new mother doesn’t become overwhelmed by the demands of life and motherhood.

Did you know that having a postnatal doula can:

-
